ok so freak out over...for now

I have had a call from our fertility doctor (who is also my obstetrician) he thinks that the bleeding was most likely a subchorionic bleed..whatever that is. I have asked for a repeat beta and am anxiously awaiting those results. I feel ok within myself...apart from the tremendous anxiety that has been hanging around all day. I realise now just how much this pregnancy means to me. I feel like we have our life mapped out around this now that it has become fact. Before the results last week we were ambivalent, I was ok if it was negative because we already had a miracle baby from IVF. Now though, I have developed quite an attachment to the idea of being pregnant again. I am not going to get attached to the idea of a baby just yet. This whole extremely scary and upsetting episode has warned me against that. IF this lasts well into the second trimester, I may get attached then but for now, just need to think of this whole thing as a late period. Ugh that sounds awful and heartless but I need to protect myself from being hurt.
I should also point out that in real life, I am nowhere near as much of a drama queen as I am on here. In real life when all of this was going down, I cried a little told my husband and went to bed. (where I cried some more!)I tried to downplay how anxious I was when I spoke to the clinic nurses and doctors so hopefully they don't all think I am neurotic.
Anyway, I am not 100% convinced this is going to stick. Please, lord I hope so. I really do.

I hear bleeding is very common in early pregnancy. Try not to freak out. I\'m positive that your beta will come back bigger and better. This is going to stick! Thinking of you. Xoxo

This is the place to be a drama queen! Its a huge thing you are dealing with and you have every right to freak out. That\'s what we are here for, to help each other deal with the freak out moments!
Thinking of you.
