Oh MY - The most painful procedure!!
So I have a stomach bug and when I got to my GYN appointment, my temp was 101.5 but I was darned if I was going to cancel. Tylenol had brought it down that low and my bones no longer felt like they were going to explode.
GYN said that their is only a 25% chance that this is cancerous, maybe a bit higher with immunosuppressant therapy, but she would like to do the biopsy. She said there would be severe pain for a few seconds
Well those few seconds were incredibly horrid!! 10/10 on the pain scale. Breathing, counting to 10 (at least 3 times,) squeezing the very sweet nurses fingers off really did not help. Doc got her endometrial sample and I should have results by Friday.
After procedure I got up from table, made it to a chair and passed out. Next thing I know, sweet nurse is checking on me and I politely told her I was going to puke. I wretched and wretched, but felt much better.
Drove myself home to my house full of grand ones and fell asleep. Their mommy called in sick today because she has their weekend tummy bug as well. So two well babies and 2 sick adults = chaos. Leo just got home from work, too. Sick as well...
My fever seems better (Lost the thermometer but just feels low grade now with minor bone pain) Just hoping this day will end soon. Don't think I need a neuro visit as I am improving, but my head weighs 3000 pounds. Poor neck. I will try to update when I get results. Kids are going home tomorrow with extended stay with daddy. I pray they patch things up, but I am exhausted from this back and forth... And from the frequent daycare infections...

What an ordeal. I know nothing about this procedure but wish there were a way to have lowered the pain for you. 10 stars to you for getting through this and home again. Will hope the tummy bug gets over by all involved and don\'t come for another pass around. Not sure about your heavy head but an extra pyridostigmine mid afternoon helps mine some. Will pray for a good solution for the young family and good results on this biopsy...Hugs, Marie
Oh my goodness Debbie, this is so much to deal with at once. Thank goodness for our faith, as I can see how easy it would be to lose our minds some times. Possibly tensing your neck and back during the procedure really weakened those muscles. Like Marie said maybe Mestinon will help. I also have to remove my pillows and lay flat for awhile. Prayers for family healing and for your results on Friday. May it be a day of God\'s grace poured on your family....Love Marina
Biopsy negative, so it is probably due to my solumedrol. Such is life.
Debbie, so glad to hear the biopsy is negative! I hope by now the bug has moved on and everyone is feeling better.
