OB oppointment
wow...i went to my OB and i had no idea they scheduled me for a colposcopy. i had an abnormal pap smear and i was positive for HPV. they did the procedure and i should get the results back to find out what kind of HPV it is. i dont know a whole lot about HPV, but i know that its linked to cervical cancer. i just dont know what to think right now.

Try not to worry. 90% of all positive test are not the type that would be associated with cervival cancer. The biopsy they took will give you the info needed to determine treatment. Goodluck hun. It will be OK.

hey hun i know you dont know me but i have been positive with hpv since i was 17. 80% of people will have it before they die. its super common and only 4 out of 101 strans of this virus cause cirvical cancer. if you have the types without the cancer or warts you wont even notice you have it. if you have any questions you can ask me i know almost everything you need to know about this. keep your chin up things will be fine.
I agree even though it is not pleasent as a woman to know this it is very common..Remember keep your yearly checkups and you should be just fine. HPV takes YEARS to become cervical canver...I also got it in my teen years, and now I have had a procedure done that was succesful. I am totally absent of the hpv virus..Don\'t worry just keep up with your yearly checkups..love ya
I now exactly how u feel. I just had my first pap done yesterday and was told I had a hpv too now I\'m playing the waiting game and Google isn\'t making it any easyer. I\'m lyterally going crazy bout it al l
