NYC New Year

It's gonna be really freezing here in NYC on New Years eve....Like 10 or 11 degrees--yet THOUSANDS will come from all over the world, to be trapped inside a "pen" and not able to leave the spot they are standing in.  They usually arrive very early in the morning (sometimes the night before) to get a good spot in the pen.....that means they cant leave to take a pee or for ANYTHING, can't leave their spot or they will lose it...yet THOUSANDS will come and stand in frigid weather.......

I went years ago to Times Square on New Years eve before they set up those "Pens".  I remember having to go into a bar and tipping a bartender $20.00 just to use the bathroom.  A million other people were tipping even more just to use the restroom!!  It was so crowded, people were just waving money in the air to get a drink or use the restroom.  Yet, years ago it was fun!! (Despite the bathroom problem).  Not at all like it is today with security, bomb sniffing dogs, sharp shooters, etc.  We had none of that years ago!!
