Now my brother is trying to get me to commit a crime for him.
My brother gets his medical needs from a clinic that bases their payments on individual ability to pay. He has been paying next to nothing since he had no job or income other than what my parents were giving him.
the clinic does a yearly review to see where their clients are and my brother does not want to tell them that he has inherited two houses so he won't have to pay more and so has asked me to write a letter to them as the trustee of my parents estateĀ saying he is still only getting money from the estate. I refused. I also told him I would not be part of his fraud.
so he writes the letter himself. He called and asked if he could get me to write my signature so he could copy it. I refused and told him I did not want any part of helping him with his forgery.
He just called and said that they asked for my phone number and to not tell the truth about it if they call. I must assume he forged my signature. Again I refused. I told him I will not give up his duplicity and untruths but will not lie myself. If they don't ask I won't answer but if they ask a straight forward question I won't lie.
he started talking about how they wouldn't challenge me if I went along and there was no real chance of getting caught. I told him it wasn't a matter of getting caught, it is a matter of principle. I don't lie. I don't cheat.
You may remember from earlier entries how my brother said that he wasn't a liar but then lied and when called in it said yeah but I wanted something. Hypocrite. This is why I don't like or trust him. I don't want to see him get in trouble but if he does it would serve him right and maybe ultimately be good for him. He needs to learn to take responsibility for himself and stop scamming others, manipulating and expecting to get away with everything.
