If someone told me 90 days ago I would be sober today, there is no way I would have believed it. I am so grateful, proud of myself, happy and at peace. Words cannot describe how utterly amazing it is to have the fight removed. I decided not to drink, so I'm not. It's not an option. Before when I was actively drinking, there was always the vicious cycle. The battle I was inflicting on myself. Turn to booze because I thought it would help me feel better, in that moment. But it never did. I am not missing out on anything by not drinking. I am actually getting so much more. It's a beautiful morning. Going for a run. Go read the paper in a coffee shop, then some highlights. Oh and by the way. The sugar demon has been tamed this week. Day 5. No sugar, no junk. The first in over a year. Finally!!!! I'll take it. Kinda scary because this is what I want, what I've been working towards. I want it to last. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. All I know is today I will not drink , I won't eat junk and today I feel great. Amen to that.

Amen!! I am so happy for you. It has been great to watch you here on this journey. I relate so much to you and I feel that you inspire & give me strength to get there too. Enjoy that run. It\'s got to feel good.

Amen is right! And you can make it last - forever. Just keep doing what you have been doing. Relapses happen when we quit doing what we know we need to do. Right now you are creating some awesome habits that can keep you sober, fit, healthy and happy for the rest of your life. High five on your amazing progress.
