NOTHING MUCH NEW

THIS IS MY FRONT DOOR WITH MY PURPLE CLEMATIS TAKING OVER. IT REALLY TOOK OFF THIS YEAR WITH ALL THE RAIN. AND BEING AT THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE, WHEN WE GET SUN IT IS THERE ALL DAY LONG. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO CUT IT BACK AS IT IS BEGINNING TO OBSTRUCT THE DOORWAY.HAD MY DAD IN FOR SUPPER LAST NIGHT. IT WAS GOOD TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH HIM. MY MOM HAS BEEN WORKING FROM 10 A.M. TIL 7 P.M. FOR SEVERAL WEEKS NOW SO HE IS ON HIS OWN FOR MEALS. PLUS I KNOW HIS BI POLAR IS ACTING UP AND HE ENJOYS COMING TO SEE ME SO I CAN GIVE HIM SOME POSITIVE MOTIVATION. I ALSO GOT HIM TO TAKE MELITONIN TO INCREASE AND IMPROVE HIS SLEEP. HE IS PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. WHEN MICHAEL LEAVES FOR MAINE NEXT WEDNESDAY FOR A FEW WEEKS I WILL HAVE DAD IN MORE OFTEN.YES, I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO MICHAEL'S ABSENCE. I AM USUALLY FINE THE FIRST WEEK BUT THEN IT GETS A LITTLE LONG IN THE TOOTH. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE OODLES OF FRIENDS AND THINGS TO DO ,I FIND THE NIGHTS THE WORST. OH, WELL, THAT IS LIFE SO I BETTER SUCK IT UP!!!!HAD THREE DAYS OF GORGEOUS WEATHER BUT WE ARE HAVING RAIN TODAY NOT SURE ABOUT TOMORROW. THIS WHOLE SUMMER HAS BEEN MAINLY A RAINY/CLOUDY EVENT. I AM HOPING FOR A NICE AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER.I REALLY FIND THE QUOTE AT THE BOTTOM VERY APPROPRIATE FOR THOSE OF US THAT SUFFER DEPRESSION...LIVE IN THE MOMENT.ANYWAY, A GOOD DAY TO ALL MY FRIENDS. DEBBIEIt is not hard to live through a day, if you can live through a moment. What creates despair is the imagination, which pretends there is a future, and insists on predicting millions of moments, thousands of days, and so drains you that you cannot live the moment at hand. | Rate this Quote! | -André Dubus

I love your front door flowering....we have had so much rain this summer, and so far not really a summer at all here in CT. I miss the sunshine so much. It is my favorite time of year and I feel like I have lost the summer this year....maybe August and September will be sunnier. Fingers crossed.
Have my last vacation day today, and I am going to my daughter\'s in MA today and spend time with her and my granddaughter Eden. I wish I had more time to spend with them. Never seems like enough time with my children and their families.
Sun was out for a little bit this morning but starting to cloud up. Was pretty outside while it lasted!
Take care, Debbie, have a great day and glad you had some time with your dad. Mine had bipolar disorder, too, and I never felt I knew him very well. I am glad you have the chance to get some time with him and enjoy his company. :-)
Love,
Susanne

The Climatis looks beautiful. I guess the cloudy rain was good for the flowers even though it was not good for us. All my flowers did good except some 1/2 off half dead daisies I bought, but I have not totally given up. Great quote, minutes are an hour when you are depressed. See you in a week. Naomi xo

Beautiful clematis, I just love them here.....glad you finally got some sunshine. The weather has been strange here, cool for summer, but sunshine for sure. The shrubs are confused though and think they are suppose to start turning already. ugh.

You will never regret being there for your dad, I bet he is a gem. xo

I got a clementis this year but it\'s not enjoying the rain quite as much as yours is. We had three days of not rain and now it\'s back, I don\'t even want to think about how long it may stay this time, just know I\'m totaly sick of it and really need some good weather, to much to do and the summer is slipping away way to fast.
