notes

I went to my parents' house yesterday and we did some shopping at the farmers' market.

It was nice.

Then I came home and readied my place for when my brother came over. He spent the night but first

we went to dinner with our cousins. It was so fantastic!

My brother just left a short while ago and the echoes of being with others is infusing my last day off of my weekend.

Just doing my laundry now and then I'll dress and go grocery shopping for a New Year's Eve treat for tomorrow.

Life is showing me things that I wonder if it's better should be kept silent about. I think I am getting quite a lot of sense about my life...From relating to alone time - to relating to being with others...There's a different boundary for each case and even in silence and solitude we sometimes look to religion or communality or routine to mark and feel ok. I don't know why I have gotten so lost at times but 'now I am found'

in a way that helps me span the two worlds and get on with my day. I wish my journals here were of some use to someone besides myself..I guess part of struggling with mental illness is that we always may be struggling with it - but even so we still may be able to help each other and in that herculean and abundantly wonderful coming together, perhaps we achieve a beautiful thing. That's a gift. :)

Peace and hugs!

Dunno if it is any more than further proof (like any more proof was needed) of just how crazy I am, but I generally don't should myself over things that make sense to me. When I feel like I *should* keep silent, the nagging whiplash doesn't let up until I shout ^it^ from the treetops. Typically that is over-kill and I am far more able to keep a more realistic perspective if I find a trusted supporter to share ^it^ with at the first should. Reality checks both needed and appreciated. I get pretty absurd when I should around too much.

Some days I am genuinely grateful for my mental illness. You are not the first amazing person I never would have met without the on-going need to manage my mental illness. I wouldn't trade my support network for all the sanity in the world. Never mind how often I doubt whether there is much sanity in the world. One of my favorite shopping jokes is asking where I can find an ounce of sanity. The joke always seems to be appreciated.
