Notes on balance

I’m in my room and I’m grateful for today. So much about making an independent venture in my life has started to yield some wisdom and vision. I’ve noticed, quite bluntly because of the pain and crisis that I experience, that I have been trying to perfect my way of life in the world when in truth or in objectivity it’s not a healthy thing to do. It has to be a life that is right for the person I am…abilities and limitations and of course the idiosyncrasies of this furry animal called Mark. I’m grateful for the diversity in life, for the experiments god makes with each genomic manifestation. I just know that rather than drill down and force myself to an illusory standard I can start seeing what’s good for me, for my path forward and for the nuances and nature of my mental health. I’ve been writing Geronta (the elder) and Father Capodistrias and Abbess as well. All three of them are beyond  a profound source of intelligence, wisdom and kindnesses. I’m doing ok. I struggled with the highs and lows today and the terror it brings as it can feel the only reality. But I’m good now. Blue is here. Have a good night.

Then wrote this, this morning, it’s a good start to the day:

Oh I need to be humble and keep creating things whether it’s in good deeds to make others happy or writing in my journal and writing on my support group. There is no perfect, but love has ambitions. Then to get along in the world we must remember to not be defiant when we might feel On the cusp of our desires, feelings and pride.

a piece of the humble wisdom i have begun to embrace as my control freakasaurus has lost its control drives is:

just how perfect is my definition of perfection?

as i have let go of the arrogance in thinking i have the perfect definition of perfection, it has become far easier to identify and balance the elements of life on life's own terms. i'll leave it to the elected judges to judge the perfect definition of perfection. i doubt i'll subscribe to their definition of perfection, but i'll leave the judging to the judges.

keeping it up close and personal, i have gotten what i want often enough to take to heart the adage, "be careful what you wish for. you might get it."

what i want is seldom what i need. seldom enough to make me think god really does have the better plan.

buttttttttttaaaaaaaa. . . i still believe in wishes enough to make dollars to wishes my favorite betting odds. if you are right, you get my dollars. if i am right, i get your wishes and it's none of your business what i do with your wishes.
