We are all plodding along. We’re processing our lives and getting on with what we need to do. There are nice moments and vexing, confusing things.

Yesterday I felt so connected to the monastery then I went to work and that took me to a different place. When I came home I thought about my Dad and how it seems I can’t have his appreciation unless I somehow mirror him. A Minor issue but my crud. And too I think there’s sometimes when we need to get on with life but like right now the different dissonance habitual in my life I am tempted to get into and express.

I think sometimes we need to dip down into the mental waters to eventually understand our experience and see what then we can give it the context it deserves.

from what you've written about your dad, i would count myself blessed to have him to mirror. what's cruddy about that? i hold solid role models are one of life's higher blessings.

my first reaction to dipping down into the mental waters for understanding is to believe i only muddied my mental waters with that particular dipping. i believe i have gained far more understanding from reaching outward to listen to my higher power.

thy will, not mine, be done. please give me the strength to carry out your will. amen.

Big hug Marky....I get lost in the mental waters all the time...sigh

I adored my mom BUT there were times that we just didn't appreciate one another's point of view

Just differences

I agree with Arf that looking to God has helped me more than anything else

Thanks Arfie and Jan, You’re right. I know I am very lucky.. just came home from work.. I feel old and tired , yet I started to watch TikTok and was just filled with a sense of possibility.
In life. Have a great night. We have a vigil tonight until around 2am I think.
I appreciate and love you both.

Sending hugs. Its a lovely weekend ahead. We all have moments of reflection and sometimes a sense of a disappointment comes in that, then when you step out into the world something reminds you of something larger we are a part of, all of us, and perspective can shift.

The point is, keep going. Never give up.
