note
I found myself coming from my positive thoughts yesterday's
writings
back to the collective group of the sisters this morning.
I found myself responding to their dissappointment
in the relation to things I was helping them with and my own
interpretation while feeling so connected and unguarded with them - of my
perhaps faulty delivery of things. I can't do that - I can't take it on.
I realize that a person's dissapointment in me - is not
about me really - it is not the truth about me - their judgement
is not the word that represents me - but the truth
of what the other may be all about at that moment or how they deal with anything. Make sense?
I also found myself recognizing that we all maintain certain
boundaries and dialogues in life - that help us feel the sense of
well being which we need. Each person has their individual sense of
well being that is determinable for ourselves - like me writing these crazy
passages - and socially when we talk we each provide for
or manage communally. Gosh this schizoaffective talk sucks.
I can see how people feel teetering and tottering
about where they stand - trying to appease others
and managing their own comfort levels.
I took my godson and my friend the Abbess out for dinner
tonight and just felt the third wheel - They have all these very
creative academic discussions - that seem a lot of creative structuring
of their need - but essentially it seems about their need - but it
was pretty impressive I have to admit....I thought about
Blue and how I know I am special to him - even though
I knew at the dinner that I was just managing sense
of well being for myself - as usual I found myself building bridges
between other people - building consensus- but always being the wind beneath the others' wings.
I came home to Blue and my real friends - and I feel so grateful and
happy to be here in this cyber space with you.

you guys really see the worst of me here. Yes I do feel uncomfortable a lot and respond to it in this way.
I do find a quality of my illness is to not always be 'on top of' my feelings or knowing the 'context' of behavior.
I tend to be creative and have a sense of humor about stuff - but I also know from being here at the monastery
that there's a seriousness to life that I keep one foot in the world.
So in a sense the monastery catches my rambling creative heart in a safety net and ocassionally i come
down to earth to be sensible - but it also teaches me that I really need to build my life more
to make it right for me - and part of that is about making and going with the relationships
that appreciate me and that promote mutual survival. :)
Big hug sweetie
I'm so glad that you got out for a nice supper with people that are special to you
I know schizoaffective disorder can really suck Marky
I'm sorry that it hurts so much at times
It's wonderful that you have such a great rapport with your therapist
And that you trust us my friend....Venting and expressing yourself here is a good way of letting go
Another big hug and a blessing...xo
Thanks Jan!
Your thoughts Mark sometimes take you to places where I think self bias can be harmful.
If you are anything like the person who we know from your writings, you are kind and intelligent with talents of art and photography, and are able to have a deep relationship, love, responsibility and give and take with Blue.
By choice, I am single. I grew up with toxic relationships around me and have very little trust of others. You on the other hand do have trust, for your Abbey friends and for those of us lucky enough to know you here. A Genuine kindness which I think is the basis of your personality.
Sadly the schizoaffect brings to your mind areas of discontent, misconception and unrest about your relationships. I can only write for myself, the early years of my bp were very angry ones...thanking God I'm no longer there, the early years of parenting were very angry and stressful ones, Thanking God I'm no longer there....many things I've done that can't be changed...well, I guess what I am trying to write is that I have things that others don't like about me, and that's OK, it's 'their choice' to interact with me, as it's your choice to interact with people you want to be with <3
Thanks Mary Louise <3 xo
