it's really interesting. I just got out of the shower and dressed for the day. As I was nearly ready
I saw Blue sitting on the windowsill. I know he gets startled easily - but I approached him and then pet him
gently. I guess the build up in this note isn't necessary - but I guess I just wanted to say - that as I pet him
I realized he was getting a little nervous as he does (untethered) and so I picked him up like a baby
and took him to the couch, a place I knew he would like (even though he wasn't so sure about being picked up.)
The whole idea is that I know he's never going to be totally secure - it's just not his nature - and so like
I know now (as I heard someone say once) "What I signed up for with him." Everyday will be helping him
not feeling so untethered even though that's how he gets - (ungrounded kind of.) I can be ok with that.
I just feel like I've learned a good lesson from that.

Big hug for you and Blue sweetie..... I think this time next year he will be that much more confident and know that you never want to hurt him...
I don't know his history and I don't know if you do??…. If you have Animal Planet TV or it should be on YouTube watch some episodes of My Cat from Hell.....I know that Blue isn't aggressive like that but the show is about helping cats gain confidence and feel secure.... He might have some good tips..... xo

It seems to me that direct bonds with any living entity calls for letting go of what I **know** and *just* feeling, heart to heart. Over the course of the bonding I come to experience mysteries greater than knowledge.
So it seems to me on this crazier-than-usual day. . .
Bonds need time to forge. Be patient with the process.
