a promising day
As I wrote about, I am quarantining for two weeks and I have a month or so that I'm off from work. I found myself in
the awestruck place of not knowing what to do with myself....sound refreshingly new?? :) anyway I tried reframing things - and shifted my vantage so that I could try and make sense...
and I realized that it's very easy to lose perspective when someone isn't there to reassure and encourage you...
things are very calm here... my cat and I are still getting to know each other... two afternoons in a row we've gone frome playing together ... to just hanging out watching tv... he's on the cat tower sleeping and I am at the kitchen counter with the Newshour going on the tv and typing on the laptop... I can't complain, things are good, I am grateful I'm safe and my family is as well. So much of this COVID time is unsettling everyone in different ways..I'm in the company of the world really -
so, I'll try to put to good use my time here, I worked 2 hours for the office thing from home....my cat wasn't too pleased
that I stopped playing with him - and he absconded to the bedroom and hid for a few hours...not wanting to budge when the work was done...eventually I talked him out.
Sending thoughts and wishes of solidarity with you guys. Crazy times...

Has Blue started sitting by your computer screen watching your every movement? I’m just waiting for Bella here to txictxutciciftictctcuv walk over the keyboard and his send on an important email. Haha
I think the computer is too high (on the kitchen counter bar). He's highly sensitive and sheepish. He might do that one day. For now, not so much.
We have had some really sweet moments playing and then when I had to do work for a couple of hours, he went and hid
and wouldn't come out for a while. I don't know if he was tired or mad but he's still brand new so we're kind of learning.
Rambo always likes to sit on my hands or the walk on the keyboard of the laptop when I'm on it, especially when she was younger...she liked to try and "catch" they mouse and things moving on the screen. She's gotten better now she just sits on my chest and makes me "see" above her fluffy furriness! lol
Mark I wouldn't think of the time off as a whole...it can seem like a long time with a lot to fill and and figure out what to do with. Just take it day by day.
As for cats they have their own weird personalities and he'll let you know what his is pretty quick....they tend to like to run the show on their terms.

Knowing You are the source of his food will bring him closer and playing with him too. There will be an adjustment period, but he will come around soon. Just talk to him lovingly and that will help too. Maybe even buy him a bag of snacks and give him a couple a day so he doesn't get fat.
