not much. honest. not much at all.....
i'm sauteing onions........then i'll add some of the chicken to warm and further seduce the senses. enticing the body to eat via the nose. why not? can't hurt.
it's raining, again, as always in beautiful forrested sunny(at times) Georgia. the raindrops are dancing on top of little Maria's princess table on the patio........slides and glides off the red and the yellow outdoor umbrellas. the bright colors cheer a soul......just folden in one half of a chicken breast diced. maybe some provolone cheese and then roll it all up in tortillas? we'll see........
the living room windows are almost always filled with condensation anymore......hard to see out. the green is everywhere.......rich, deep, beautiful and compelling the soul to find peace......think i'll warm some of the rice and black eyed peas......a bit of veggies as well, skip the tortillas......and watch a movie while i dine.
dining always sounds more elegant than eating or munching or having a nosh........so dine it is. treat ourselves well shall we? why ever not........annie is watching the rain.......it has slowed in intensity.......the ground is saturated, the rain sits on top forming puddles........let's put on our galoshes and have a summer splash party.
i had to retire my polka dotted boots and replace them with pale green stripey rainboots.......no holes in the new ones. awesome my friend, to have dry feet again.
it's time to dine.......lol, i almost said EAT.......come an' get it! the kitties already had a nice breakfast but they are eyeing up their chances for a bit of human food. not happening.......go play upstairs in the bathroom cupboards you crazy cat kids! they like to do that.......fly up the stairs and then i hear the cupboard open and close....open and close. they think it's a grand game........not as great as when they manage to get in the upstairs cubbies..........my cape cod has lots of hiding holes for kitties. five to be exact......and whenever they manage to get in and have at it, they come out with dusty whiskers and fur.........happy, proud hunters just back from safari......
those cubbies give them acccess to a whole world of tunnels and hopefully critters........i had the critter holes stopped up by professional stopper upper people, but that doesn't make the game any less grand for one green eyed annie and her kooky little brother rio........whatever she does, he wants to do too.
the rain is picking up speed........the food is ready for consumption. my head is tightly wound, barometric pressure taking pot shots at the sinuses like they own the joint. and they pretty much do.......i remembered to take the no sneeze pill last night so at least i'm not sneezing me fool head off.......
have you ever seen the movie "A Flea In Her Ear? with Rex Harrison..........i had never seen nor heard of it......but i caught most of it on tv one day this week. Rex plays two characters in this film.......he is a refined gentleman/husband of some means........and he is also a scallywag drunkard who works as a porter at a scandalous hotel where french men and women meet for parlor games amour.........at one point the drunken porter falls into bed........and the refined Rex comes through the door to his bedroom.......did i mention he has also been hit on the noggin very very hard.......so as he stumbles through and sees himself sprawled out --- limbs this way and that........refined Rex says....."I am dead".........and then with exquisite comedic timing adds........"in my bed."
first time i had laughed out loud in days.........still savoring it. i know without seeing the build up and seeing Rex be Rex it's hard to catch the comedy via this description, but it was dry and droll and delightful. to me.......laughter is still the best medicine. i was reading this little paperback called Clean Country Jokes........more than halfway through and not one of those jokes made me laugh........not even a snicker. so i was worred.......unsure if the material was bad or i was losing my ability to tell.
it is time to go..........nice to stop by and share some of our rain with you..........saturday, 12:31 EST hugs from this reporter......xoxo over n' out!

Yes, dining sounds better than snacking or eating supper. You always have the best sounding food. Even though you don't feel well, you make the effort to eat something decent. Love you.
I love the idea of dining, lol. I would love to be able to cook again, I do some & have always enjoyed it. I loved to bake as well, I may have to use some of my energy on it again, you are an inspiration. I wish it would rain here, a real downpour & then have it do it again the next day. Our yard is desperately crying out for water, I just don't have the energy to take acre of it. Once again I truly enjoyed your journal, thank you for sharing your life with us. Gentle hugs, Denise
