Not easy being a widow/widower.

It is not easy learning to be a widow.  I was so used to be a couple and it was very pleasurable for the both of us.  We had fun together and felt like kids all over again.  We loved each other deeply.  We got in the fun kind of trouble together.  We laughed together.  We loved together.  We hung out together.  We were each other's best friend.  We were each others soul mates.  We were the love of each other's life.  Now Smokey is gone and I am learning to be single again.  It's not where I planned to be at the age of 54 that is for sure.  I am a new grandma as well and that has kept me going.  My grandson was born this Wednesday at 9:16 a.m. on June 9, 2010.  His name is Tyson Philip.  Tyson was born weighing in at 9 lbs. 2 oz.  It is an adjustment for Lisa and Grant to be new parents.  It is an adjustment for me to be single again at thage age of 54.  Wow!  What different journeys my daughter and I are on!  It is quite amazing.  My daughter is starting her journey.  I feel like I am at the end of my journey but there can be a few surprises for me along the way.  I am open to the possiblities of life and where it can lead me.  If you close yourself up, nothing is going to happen.  If you leave your self open to the possibilities of what could happen, interesting things can come your way.  This is what I am hoping for in my life now.  I closed one chapter of my life.  A new chapter of my life is just starting to be written.  Anyone can read my book.
