NOT A DAH DAY
WELL, IT IS ALMOST THE END OF JULY, OH, WHERE DID THE MONTH GO?? ACCORDING TO THE STATS WE HAD ONLY 8 DAYS OF NO RAIN IN JULY. AND THIS DOES NOT COUNT THE DAYS THAT WERE CLOUD WHICH WAS ABOUT HALF THAT NUMBER. IN OTHER WORDS...A CRAPPY JULY!!! I SURE HOPE THAT AUGUST BRINGS SOME DECENT WEATHER. OUR WINTERS ARE BRUTAL AND WE NEED TO HOARD ALL THE SUNSHINE WE CAN.I HAVE THE BOYS AGAIN TODAY. BUT I AM NOT HAVING ANOTHER "DAH" DAY, OR AT LEAST NOT YET. I AM NOT OVERLY BUSY TODAY: THE BOYS TIL 5:00, RUN MY DAUGHTER TO AND FROM WORK, A HAIR APPOINTMENT, A DOC APPOINTMENT AND A FEW BILLS TO PAY IN TOWN, THEN JUST REGULAR STUFF IE..HOUSEWORK, YARDWORK.LAST NIGHT, LESLIE, THE BOYS MUM, CALLED ME. APPARENTLY, THE OLDER BOY WANTED HER TO ASK IF I WOULD LOOK AFTER THEM FOR THE REST OF THE SUMMER INSTEAD OF THERE OTHER SITTER. MY RULE WAS I DO NOT DO XMAS VACATION, MARCH BREAK OR SUMMER ( UNLESS SHE IS STUCK FOR A DAY OR SO). I AM GOING TO HAVE TO SAY NO, I JUST CAN'T. I HAVE TOO MANY PLANS FOR AUGUST, I WILL BE A WAY ON AND OFF FOR A FEW DAYS AT A TIME, I HAVE SOME DAY TRIPS PLANNED WITH FRIENDS, LUNCHEONS TO GO TO, HAIR APPOINMENTS, COUNSELLOR AND P DOC. JUST WAY TOO MUCH! PLUS I JUST CAN'T HANDLE BEING TIED DOWN EVER WEEK FOR 5 DAYS, 7 TIL 5!! MY NERVES WON'T TAKE IT!!! THE SCHOOL YEAR IS DIFFERENT, IT IS ONLY MORNINGS AND AFTER SCHOOL, THE REST OF THE DAY IS MINE. I HOPE SHE IS NOT UPSET BUT THAT IS THE WAY IT HAS TO BE. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???WELL, BEST GET READY FOR THE DAY. EVERYONE SMILE. DEBBIE

It has been a wet, cool summer here as well. We have sunshine for today & tomorrow is suppose to be good too, but after that, ugh....!!
I don\'t blame you for wanting the summer without kids, summers. go by way fast.! It makes for a long tiring day when you have kids all day long without the structure of a classroom.

I\'ll trade you weather. So far we have not had one single day in July in which it has not rained at least part of the day. Yesterday afternoon the sun did come out for a couple of hours and the skies were so clear I had real hopes for today but woke to the same old grey and rain that has made this month so miserable.
I\'m with you, winter is just around the cornor and last winter was a tough one so I\'d like to see August and even September with lots of sun, I know by some point in Oct we will have snow again (and the freezes will start in Sept.) so PLEAZE can\'t we have some sun and heat before then.
Your not busy day sounds pretty busy to me. I read the book \"How To Say No\", it is real easy and that is what I think you should say about watching the boys. As mentioned we don\'t have much time left and we have to squeeze in what we enjoy so we will have something to remember this winter. No quilt please, it is a wasted emotion. SAvoy every day. NJ xo
I agree that we need to be careful with our schedules, there is nothing wrong with saying NO.......you seem to be doing great thanks God. Yes, the summer is flying by so fast. The ugly part is August is my birthday month and I will be one year older. Yikes.........have a great day sweetie. Hugs
You are right to stick to your original plans aboot minding the boys. It is a complement that they want you but you do have your own always buzy schedule to take care of too! Happy August 1st. sigh. time moves too quickly when we are older. ...... have a good weekend in spite of the weather. xo
