not a child prodigy

All morning I've been down on myself for not being born a child prodigy.  A girl from my hometown, pop. 500 is a rising star barely out of high school.  I wanted to be a star and the only star from home.  It is silly for me to think this way.  I am blessed and have come a long way.  There is always going to be someone who is better but I'm not going to let that bring me down.
