No progress this week.
I went through the steps in my mind. What caused me not to lose weight? Was it something or how much I ate? Was it not enough exercise? Did I not pray about it enough? My only conclusion to this problem was well no conclusion. Just realizing I didn't make any progress this week. Hopefully it's not a dreaded plateau like the 270's. I thought plateau's weren't suppose to happen until you get much lower in weight. Was I sorely mistaken. I have to admit I felt discouraged after I worked so hard last week as I saw nothing change and I gained a pound. This morning I weighed again and I had lost the pound I gained but no progress from last week. Realizing that my weight loss journey is hard and it makes me not want to eat bad ever again in my life because of the challenge of getting the weight off. I think if I was to lose it any other way or it was too easy to lose I wouldn't appreciate the process and stay focused on the plan like I have. So off to the gym in a few hours to put in my 35 minutes of exercise. Might start weights this week. Not really sure. Know I have to incorporate weights sometime soon to get maximum results. Hopefully this next week will be better and I'll start losing again.

I hear you loud and clear. In past years, I would have wanted to buy Easter candy for the candy dishes and bake some special holiday treats, but these days I realize that is not helpful for me at all... so I am not doing that. Since I do not have any young children in the house now, I cannot reason that they would feel like they are missing out. I realize every time that I make good choices in nurturing healthful foods and exercising and taking all my concerns to my heavenly Father, it is reinforcing a new way and a new life. I need that. I do not want to break the trend of caring about becoming well, living well, achieving and maintaining a healthy strong body. I have such a reality check from exercise. I have stepped up my walk to burn 350 calories, figuring every 10 workouts equals one pound of fat burned up. It takes so much work to burn 1/10 of a pound... it makes me think more often before putting food in my mouth. This week I said NO Thank you to Mc Donalds, Sub shop, and ice cream twice. The thing is, even with all the better choices, apples, carrots, spinach, salad, almonds, flax seeds, oatmeal, tuna, turkey and all the swimming and walking and all the saying NO thank you and empty candy dishes and skipped baking holidays, my progress is still slow! I want to stay encouraged. I was 293 yoday and I feel confused some times to at why I hit 297 this week, and what it is going to take to break into the 280s AND KEEP THE SHED POUNDS CASTED OFF OF ME! It really helps me to be in this with God... I am more apt to trust and be humble and learn patience. We are coming along nicely in God\'s perfect timing. Thanks for sharing our journey together. It means so much to me.
