No more Mary Jane

I have struggled with this addiction for years now and I had an apiphany of sorts yesterday that it's time to give it up. I quit for nearly 3 months, Nov. to Jan, and it was easy to do because I was in countries where it wasn't as readily available as here.  But as soon as I was offerd some Amsterdamn hash...it was ON!!  And then, when I came back to CA against my will, I had a J in my mouth within 45 min. of getting off the plane. I have always justified my use, because I have multiple valid medical reasons for using, and I know it helps with my pain and anxiety...but I also know that I have not been truly sober. I don't want to give up my 421 days of Alcohol sobriety though...even though a few people in my AA group say I have not been sober and actually look down on me for accepting sobriety chips when I wasn't truely sober.  For me, It's 2 different addictions and it was Alcohol that caused me trouble and black outs. Will talk with my sponsor about this more...that's if she keeps me as a sponsee.
