no gambling - a good thing!
Another day down - no gambling.. I just got back from going to church with my husband, so I am in a very thankful mood... Finding this site that is enabling me to control my gambling is just something I am so thankful for. I look forward to coming to DS often now and I find journaling and reading is the key. When we were driving to the church, a commercial came on advertising one of the casinos - - every other word was "win"... my husband was just shaking his head - he said that is such a "crock". We had a mini discussion about what all of it does to people. As close as we are, he really doesn't know about DS and how I'm on it daily... it's okay, though . . the main thing, I believe is that it is helping me... I just don't talk about it. Is that a bad thing? I really don't think so.. but sometimes I feel a little guilty because we are very close and share so much... Ruth's party was GREAT yesterday - she gives everyone hope and inspiration - we're all so afraid of growing old, ya know? :] :] Anyway, I have rambled on enough. On to the golf course with my husband; it's a beautiful day and I know we'll have a nice time. No gambling - yay!!!!! Hugs,Smokeygirl

It sounds like you are having a really great day...church and golfing with the hubby...enjoying beautiful weather...and...the best of all... no gambling! I hate those commercials! They really used to tempt me in the early days, and now I just tune them out. Nasty predators, those casinos...and they know what they are doing!
Hope the rest of your day is just as nice....love ya, Dianne
What a great je! A big lesson we need to learn...to be thankful...for what we have. If you are at 50% of two months GF, that must mean you have a month GF!!! Woooo Hoooo !!! Way to Go! It is a pleasure reading how happy you are!
Love, Julie
Great day Smokey (o: Maybe DS just hasn\'t come up in conversation. In any case I am sure he can see the benefits in you being GF. No need in explaining everything about your recovery just as long as you are doing it!
This is your journal - your private world and that is k. It took me a while to fully open up to my hubby about my daily commitment to DS. However - I did need to tell him, for me it was a matter of being completely honest and he is my best friend.
Now we talk openly about my recovery. I do know when he hits saturation level though. Hugs to you today Suzi
