no gambling - a good thing!

Another day down - no gambling.. I just got back from going to church with my husband, so I am in a very thankful mood... Finding this site that is enabling me to control my gambling is just something I am so thankful for.  I look forward to coming to DS often now and I find journaling and reading is the key.  When we were driving to the church, a commercial came on advertising one of the casinos - - every other word was "win"... my husband was just shaking his head - he said that is such a "crock".  We had a mini discussion about what all of it does to people.  As close as we are, he really doesn't know about DS and how I'm on it daily... it's okay, though . . the main thing, I believe is that it is helping me... I just don't talk about it.  Is that a bad thing?  I really don't think so.. but sometimes I feel a little guilty because we are very close and share so much... Ruth's party was GREAT yesterday - she gives everyone hope and inspiration - we're all so afraid of growing old, ya know?  :] :] Anyway, I have rambled on enough. On to the golf course with my husband; it's a beautiful day and I know we'll have a nice time.  No gambling - yay!!!!!  Hugs,Smokeygirl
