No gain, no pain
Why does it hurt to exercise? It was my understanding that the water therapy would be pretty much painless but, guess what? It hurts. I spent the day yesterday trying to decide if it wouldn't just feel better to stay in bed, be warm and relax. I finally did roll out and go to the pool again. I will admit it was much better with the jets on my sore legs. I guess I am in much worse shape than I thought for the water exercises to ache my poor old body so much. It is so cold now. I hate to go from the house to the car, car warms up then car to pool. I get warmed up by the pool then dash back to the car which has by then frozen up again.
I know you northern hardy souls think us babies but I'll meet you one August at noon in Alabama and we'll see who cries uncle. Below freezing is abnormal in the region and we don't have the same heat in our homes. My long for the natural gas furnace in Michigan that warmed your house to what ever temp you set.

You deserve huge accolades just for attempting to do aquatics in this weather. I love the water but doubt I could do it. But they say it is very good for you. I knoq when I was suffering so badly with my back being in the water was a huge relief from pain. You surely are no whimp. When I was reading this at 4am..I thought about the gas heat thing. I hadnt thought about not having it till now....but my mind went right to days of coal heat. You are right....there is a difference. What kind of heat do you have? What about a nice warm electric blanket or wrap?
Keep pushing forward dear miss soapy, you are one diligent awesome lady! Where I work the residents who are retired or semi retired....shoot we dont see them for weeks because of this weather...they just wont come out...but then like you there\'s a few who refuse to stay holed up. LOL...no doubt in my mind you could give us northerners a run for our money.
Ps....we have great aapartments...55+ only.....gas heat.. and a state of the art rec center with aquatic classes right behind us.
With my particular conditions all exercise hurts, but of the various options, hydrotherapy is the best offering. It still gets to me, but not as bad as land exercise. ........amazing that you went right back again, the jets would feel mighty good..........!!! do you think it would do better to alternate days when you go? not that i even know your schedule........brain foggy me.
i wish my home was warmer too......all the time. our homes are not built for the temps we\'ve been having..........not at all! ahhhh, i spy a pretty red cardinal out my window..........high up in the tree........sweet.
i would like to live in 72 weather year round................who is in charge of that deal???? big hugs, keep WARM.............xoxo, ruthie
I\'ve asked the man in charge and he says, \"If you don\'t like it, Move!\" I asked for relocation advice and I think he will get back to me one day. I did skip a day between trips to the pool but it\'s still owwie...
