i know people in the insurance business who are up north working because of all this and fpl people who travel and make a lot of money anytime there is a storm.  weird that something so dangerous can end up saving the economy to a degree, but so does war as war also creates jobs.  i would think it would bankrupt government more than stimulate, especially if they lose.
it was 78 and sunny all day here.  perfect weather.  beautiful day.  it doesn't get any better.  washed the car.  it need it badly.  cleaned cat rooms.  returned phone calls on the pregnant siamese etc.  spoke to johnw and told him his girlfriend called me ALL DAY LONG yesterday and he says he'll take care of it.  i wouldn't pick up.  i already talked to her, i'm not at the house down south and i don't know her.  her calls are stupid especially since i specifically told her not to call me until christmastime. 
hung out with w briefly as he went to three auctions this week and seems to be feeling better.  i hope he is.  he's also almost done adding on his third bathroom, so went over to see how it is.  he's very proud of it.  he signs off on his own plans because he's an engineer and then just gets to it.  he gave me a hamper and a foot bath/massager from the auction.  the second item i don't need so someone will get it. 
at the auctions you buy the whole box (for like 3$ generally) even if you only want one item in there.  people will argue with the auctioneer because they don't want all the other stuff, just the one thing, but the deal is you take the whole box.  in a way its like christmas if you find things you like in there.  its fun.  i'm not addicted to auctions anymore.  w still is.  one of the auctions serves good meals instead of truck food, so he goes to them no matter what.  the auctioneer that all of us go to is funny a lot of the time so its worth it for the entertainment value. 
one of the kittens is losing fur and i think its anxiety, so i'll move it upstairs.  the other is doing well down there and should be adopted.  they are both super adoptable when on their own.  was surprised at how much i got done.  even read part of an american girl book, the history part on kirsten.  it claims christmas was a month long celebration in europe in the 1800's.  i never heard that before.  and people who migrated here lost all of that because they had to work so hard just to survive on the frontier that the holiday became smaller and smaller and now its down to ONE day.    
got to the house up north and akj was here.  he claims he killed a rattler.  hmmmm.  its possible.  i said where is the snake...i can count the number of snakes i have SEEN on two hands and all of them in north florida not south florida, and a couple of them camping up north as a kid.  ec was also here and his mother was with him this time.  they look similar, which i didn't expect at all because his backround doesn't add up.  his mother would have been 46 when ec was born and he's her only child.  he also has a female "cousin" from texas who visits him every year, who is only 15 years older than him.  he knows its odd and if he wants answers he should ask while they are all alive.  also found out that marvin who works here is after me because i keep writing him up (i have no choice he keeps leaving things unlocked that can't be left unlocked) so something else to deal with.  they don't mean physical, they just mean trouble.  i believe it because he has been acting weird lately.  creepy weird.
