NEWS FLASH...!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally after my son Shawn living with his girlfriend for 6 long years....ASK him to marry her last night...
She has 2 kids that thank of him as their dad which is great....so this is how it went down according to her daughter....
Jamie gets on Facebook....saying she wants to write something but can't yet....
About 10 min. later she writes:MY PARENT ARE GETTING MARRIED...someone proposed....
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.
We went to eat....we are sitting there and Shawn gives her mom a gift and said "Happy Mother's Day"...She says, it's not Mother's Day and gives it back...
He does not take it...Her 8 year old speaks up and goes I thought he was asking mom to marry him.
My son says....I thought I was too...Inside the gift was her engagement ring...
The rest is History...Everyone is Happy!!!!
There is still joy that comes in the family when sadness is still so strong...I wish Ken would have been here to welcome Shawn's new life....but it is what it is..
I am very happy that they are now engaged........I hope that they have a wonderful life..
