Happy New Year

I read the Saint Basil's liturgy today for New Year’s Day (old calendar). It’s a special longer ceremony than the usual, from the everyday service. His prayers really hit me today for some reason. Well, I’ve never read them before. But his idea is about vanity and worshiping God or receiving the ideas of God really makes it seem like, as I garnered, there’s vanity in the outside world there’s vanity in the religious world just in a different form. And really worshiping God or really having a spirituality beyond that is really plain and appealing
