New Year's Resolutions

Hello my friends,
I am not one for making new years resolutions but this year I need to do this. I have found, since Eddie died, that I have become an angry person. I am disappointed in who I have become. I have many unkind thoughts in my head, am quick to criticize others (especially coworkers) and find myself swearing under my breath a lot at work. I feel angry much of the time. So...my plan is to turn over a new leaf. I want to honor God, my son and myself. I no longer want to be angry, terse or critical of others. I want to, as St. Francis of Asissi said, "Be an instrument of peace."
I wish all my SOTHS and dear friends here at DS a year of peace and love, as well as health, happiness and prosperity.
Ed, I miss you. I am not proud of all the anger I have been carrying around. I am determined to find myself again and begin to practice loving kindness. I want you to be proud of me.
Love, Mom xoxo

I so get what you have said.....anger is so awful - affects everything doesn\'t it? I have found I\'m just mad because I don\'t have my daughter....Today @ church, the pastor talked about living \"an intentional life\"....Choose to smile, choose to help others with a glad heart, live life with intention as God would want you to.
I haven\'t been there - I\'m angry alot of the time and instead of being grateful, I\'m kicking the dog because I don\'t have what I want....that\'s my daughter....
I know you will get above this anger thing.....2016 is your year....I know you will do it and get back to \"Linda\".....Sending tight (((((hugs)))) Vicki

Do whatever you need to in order to get rid of the anger. Not good to hold it in. May you find the peace you are searching if in 2016.

Oh how I relate to your posting. I was always know as \"the girl with the smile\". I had a positive view on everything. The death of my son changed me and my view on everything. I feel the same way as you and I find myself sometimes realizing how much I don\'t like the person I have become but I just don\'t care enough to change anything. I am very proud of you for making this resolution and wish you all the luck with finding this small piece of peace for your heart.
