New Roof Day?
The youngish man who took our bid for the new roof on the honey barn was quite efficient and polite about keeping us informed both times he pushed back the work schedule last week. I haven't heard from him since the last reschedule, so I am taking that and today's weather forecast as an indicator that the magic will happen today, as last scheduled. They still expect it to be a one-day job.
I'm crossing all fingers and toes. The roof leaks keep messing with my finish work. I bet the shiny new hat will look spiffy on top of my repurposed honey barn. I am tempted to the sin of pride over how well it has come out.

The first truck carrying two workers has arrived!!! The hammering and tugging to remove honey's old hat is underway.

Not even lunch yet and the old hat's already off. Roof support repair is underway.
Let's hear it for Honey's new hat. It is slated to be a metal roof with a galvanized finish. The twists and turns of my damaged brain have been coughing up the humorous imagery of tin foil hats. Sigh. . . Why can't I be normal?

The new flash are often not as complicated as putting a glass cover back on a light after changing a light bulb. Maybe you oughta give it a shot, ML. Rooftop views can be worth the climb. Roofs are among my favorite hiding places.
