new kitty mia is hiding......what to do???

trying to be semi calm, but Mia is hiding somewhere in the kitchen.  it's my fault, me and my brain fog.  i was putting Rio and Mia's breakfasts in their bowls.......and i had brought Mia's carrier into the kitchen as well.  for some reason the smell of Mia's doo doo is so strong that it makes me gag.......so i was going to change the litter for the 3rd time this week.

i normally can't smell anything in the other litter box until the 7th day.......but with Mia something is off.  maybe her digestive tract is upset?  maybe it's the food the lady has been giving her......i'll do some research.  in the meanwhile i changed out the mini litter pan, got fresh water.......and somewhere along the way i picked up the carrier, sat it on the floor, opened the door.....stood up to get the food to put it in with Mia and in that time frame Mia siezed the day............hollered "Carpe Diem" in her tiny ilttle cat escapist way and now I don't know where she is.

I've checked along this wall, .....with the computer cords, bookcases, desk......she's not there.  Checked behind the water heater....not there, not along any easily seen wall spaces.  this leaves the frig and the washer dryer.......what to do, what to do......

eventually she will seek food.......this is another problem.  Rio will eat EVERYBODY's food unapologetically.  i took the fireplace tri folding metal gate to the kitchen door opening to keep her limited to this area.  all of a sudden my kitchen, laundry room seems more like a huge national forest.......where is new baby Mia????

you don't need to fuss at me, i already feel like a huge schmuck.  and to boot i have tummy issues of my own.......the bad kind of tummyitis......gotta dig out the anti-diahrreal pills. Mia doesn't know me well enough to come out when i call........so this is gonna be a long time for us both til she comes out.........all i want to do is lay down and suck my thumb.  ok, maybe not suck my thumb, but definitely go fetal position til my tummy calms down.

i ate KFC last night, guess that was a huge mistake as well.  sometimes i want original KFC wings.  my bad.  i won't be wanting them for a while now........................sorry, tmi.  forgive me, please.

i think i'll put out some of her dry food........and go take a nap.

i pulled everything out of the master bath this morning also to wash......this flea thing freaked me out.  last night i gave MIA her first bath......as recommended by the vet, I got a very gentle kitty shampoo and rubbed, cuddled and loved on her for a very long time .....then she sat in her carrier grooming herself like a pro!  i found the tiniest gentlest flea comb and she didn't mind it at all......she is very laid back.....and sweet.

please Heavenly Father, help Mia come out of hiding and let me know when she comes out.........so i can help her adjust to her new home.......i treated her for the ear mites and have her 3 in one vaccine ready to give her anytime.

being a new kitty momma is a lot of work........Rio is trying to figure out what is going on around here, he is upset and then ok, angry and then on my lap.......there is no easy time to bring in a new fur baby.  you just gotta pace yourself and get through it.......

pray for me, for Mia, for Rio and for your own sweet self, your own personal trials and needs........in Jesus Name, AMEN!

Mia is going to be jut fine. You are way more worried than you need to be. I bet if you do lay down for a nap, you'll either wake up to her mewing or she'll be wanting to cuddle with you. As long as she can't get outside, she'll reappear when she's ready.

Also, you have changed the food she ate from her previous home and her tummy is going to be upset until it gets used to the new food. It's no big deal. I remember how stressful it is to have a new cat. In the end, everyone settles down. Just takes some time.

You are a good kitty mommie and Mia is lucky to be in your home!

I was watching my mom's cat once and she hid in an old radio that I had. I didn't find her for a while, but she must have been coming out at night to eat and poop. I will pray you find that little baby soon. Love you.

I remember new how unsettled it is when welcoming home a new kitty. You, Rio and Mia, have my prayers. Give her time she has been through a lot for a kitty. You are a wonderful kitty momma. ♥
