New Coffee Maker
Today I threw away my old coffee maker and set up my new one. Should have made me feel great, except that my old one was the one that Stan and I used for years. Another set of memories cast aside and replaced with something new and specifically "me". So there I was, crying over a new coffee maker. How stupid is that?

It is not stupid at all. I do that often as it seems everything that had even the slightest connection is slowly breaking down and being replaced. Last week my daughter found two cans of oysters that John had bought still in my pantry. They were expired as I do not like oysters. I could not throw them away. It feels that every time we throw something out we are tossing them as well. My daughter asked me if she could help me by throwing them out. I let her. I cried over the oysters. It is not silly.
