Nerve racking day!!!

I was not able to go to Bruce's appointment today. I was soooo tired I just lazied around today. I did get up but stayed in my room taking it easy. I talked to Bruce about going to his appointment & he promised to talk to the doc about what I wanted to bring up. He said if I was that tired he would prefer me to stay here. He remembers just over a yr ago when I did too much for too long & went into a MS attack. Anyway he is getting his R lung drained in a couple of weeks. They are then going to test the fluid to see if it is his lungs or heart putting the fluid on his lungs. May be there is a way to stop it from happening again. Or he will have to keep having this done. I am very worried about him. He has aged quit a bit in the last couple  of months. I do not know how much longer I will have him. It is something I do not like to focus on. I want to just enjoy the time we have left with him.
I did not go to the CI training tonight. I was just too tired. I went to bed at 5:15. It takes less energy to lay in bed then to sit in my chair. I am going to try to sleep. Hopefully I will get more then the couple of hrs/night I have been getting for the last week or so.

Bruce was right. When you are that tired, you definitely should just take it easy or you will end up in a flare. I\'m glad they can do something to help him with his lungs. Just try and get some rest so you can enjoy your time together.

Gentle hugs and joined at the heart, Linda

I\'m sorry I\'m reading your journal entry for Wednesday so late. This is the first chance I\'ve had to check in on you Kayce.

The problem Bruce is having is very worrisome. Heart problems are the most common cause of pulmonary edema, with congestive heart failure being the most common of these heart issues. You mentioned that he has aged severely in the past couple of months. That is another sign that his heart is working too hard keeping up with his body. I can only imagine how difficult it is to watch Bruce deteriorate like he is. He needs immediate medical attention to drain the fluids from his lungs, not in a couple of weeks. It sounds like the doctors are writing him off already, not caring if this man suffers or not. You are wise to want to spend as much time with him as you possibly can.

Yes, you sound like you are totally exhausted. Not sleeping well for the week sounds like it finally caught up with you. I hope you can find someway to get some much needed rest. Worrying about Bruce doesn\'t help any but I know you can\'t stop that. I think of you two often, and it really bothers me that he isn\'t getting better medical attention. Please talk to him about seeing why they won\'t drain his lungs earlier than a couple of weeks from now. Do a google search on \"fluid on the lungs\" to see what I mean.
