negative forces, resiliency to change, art

I have often marveled at those who can take an idea and make it into something

more than just an idea. They may make the idea into a piece art or product that they put into the common marketplace

of ideas and products or even quite literally the world of art.

I grew up encouraged and nurtured to make art as it seemed it was something I could

do and it complemented my focus.

Very often over the years I have tried to approach the idea of creating and putting my artwork

into a personal vision and expression so to speak and still have the 'balls' to put myself 'out there.'

I've talked myself out of it - time and time again and yet I come back to it, time and time again.

I've also marveled at those in the work environment - whether in the grocery business :) like I am in now

or even the business of life... I've marveled at resiliciency by some - the steadiness too no matter what comes up-

I think those who deal well with the resiliciency to change are so inspiring!!! In any shape...

There may still be the rollercoaster of emotions that happen with change coming every day - but those

who can stay steady and constant enough to stay on project, keep a focus are amazing and marvelous!!!

Outside forces may be there - negative or whatever - but I just wanted to write about themes

that I think are so essential and admirable.

Ok - now I'll try and go back to sleep!!!

peace,

Mark

It remains yours to sort, but I wonder if you have talked yourself out of it to the extent that you blinded yourself to the fact that you can and have done exactly that. Not we. Not they, but you. Up close and personal.

Just wondering on a gut instinct. . . Methinks you are selling yourself short, but just methinking. It remains yours to sort.

I wonder Mark if you had a place to possibly 'show' your work if that might be a motivation. Where I live the public library has a 'show case' upon entering the library. When John was younger, he built these incredible legos. I bought him the series of Bat Man and they displayed this in the show case...I think for two weeks or something like that. Then before entering the library as it's a multi organization place, the walls are covered with peoples art work and can be sold...just an idea :)

Our library does the same thing. Here's to finding an outlet to give you the opportunity to 'create' what you 'feel' and 'express' it - sounds like a great plan!

Big squishy hug sweetie.... I think we all go through our ups and downs..... Some times and some things are really challenging ...

I think biting the bullet and just putting yourself out there even though you feel some anxiety can perhaps help you work through it

You enjoying your art and getting something out of creating is what's most important.... That you like what you do IMHO

In the beginning I can only imagine that everyone feels some anxiety sweetie even if they don't show it....

I hope that you were able to have a good sleep.... xo

I know social media and such can be annoying, but Instagram is neat to showcase art and photography! Of course there is the dilemma of people ‘stealing your ideas.’ Because some people are jerks and do that stuff. But if you find a community of followers and peers I think it can be a neat way to participate.

I agree about local places - indie cafes and places like to showcase paintings.

I hear you. I have a creative spirit but feel like there is no place to put it sometimes, and get disappointed that I don’t achieve ‘greatness’ or even try to. Pressure put on self - where does that come from?
