Nailing up boundaries

Spent my morning feeling lousy...foggy, aching head......took a long walk with the dog...laughed with my daughter...dealt with my mother....went and bought a bamboo screen to give me some space from my neighbour in my garden and establish a boundary!
Feel slightly better.....but my ex is really ill at the moment, gone into hospital with a virus and I'm really having to fight cravings of wanting to caretake.....even though he never gives anything back.....my daughters father came round and I watched him wriggle his way out of explaining how he knew he was 7 days late with his child payments but could he have longer....and I just thought how disapointing the men in my life have always been...Dad, brother, boyfriends......if only i could find a male friend who just wanted to be a friend and nothing more....but they always seem to want something else from me....and im tired of it....i obviously need to choose healthier people.

I think the answer is to put yourself first more. Then you will start to make those healthier relationships. You are getting in touch with your inner child and that is taking you in the right direction. I can do this best when I write, so I am going to start writing more. What\'s your muse?xxxxx

I don\'t really have any answers for you, kind of think we need to find our own answers.. Anyway I do \'get\' what you are saying and yes, it is hard sometimes to resist that caretaking stuff ,isn\'t it. People can be disappointing sometimes, anyhow I hope you will have a better day tommorrow . (((lots of hugs)))

What an excellent gift you gave yourself in honor of my Birthday! Good For You!

Keep creating bamboo boundaries ... with all these people who take advantage of you, who walk all over you, who don\'t respect your needs. As you hold your position firm, they\'ll get a bit nutty because they don\'t like change (who does?), but stay the course. And you will start to find that you attract a different kind of person in your life. One who respects you, who honors your boundaries, who won\'t take advantage . . .
