MY WONDERFUL DAD
This is a picture of my dad that I took yesterday. It was his birthday. He is 71 years young. He is in exceptional shape as he has been a fitness buff all his life. He works out everyday for an hour or two. He is also a personal trainer at the local YMCA. He is a great dad, always willing to lend a hand or help out. He is also bi polar, guess where I get it from...LOL!!! He is always concerned about me and how I am managing my illness. He is doing very well but he has been dealing with it for at least 25 years. He has not worked in all of this time. thank the Lord he worked for the government and had an excellent sick plan plus retirement program. So yesterday I spent 2 hours visiting with my parents and my brother dropped in as well. plus I had the boys later than normal due to an incident at the mother's work place. I also lugged gravel, oh, my aching back and everything else to boot. lol !! When I wasn't lugging gravel I was laying out the landscape fabric. I also fed the birds. They were not happy that their feeders were empty. So after doing that and journals, housework etc. the day was over.At 6:30 this morning my girlfriend called me, the one whose hubby is in the hospital, she had a big, big problem. They own a huge and I mean huge white husky. She had people walking him and he escaped. He did return but he had rolled in the mud and was absolutely filthy. Alas, that was not the problem! No, he got sprayed by a skunk!! And he needs to be in at night because he barks a lot. She had to leave him out and did not get much sleep. anyway, back to the skunk problem. She needs to treat him with "skunk off or skunk begone". These products really work as I have used them on my dog. Anyho,,,dear doggy does not like to be brushed, bathed or anything else. He tries to bit and scratch plus just the shear size of him fighting you every inch of the way. I told her I would get the stuff and I would give him 2 of my clonazepam to dope him up. Don't worry it does not hurt them. She was also going to check with the vet to see what they recommended to make him docile. So after she finishes work tonight we are going to try to subdue the critter and spray/brush him down. Not looking forward to this!!Well, I hope to get a lot more gravel done today. And if I get anything done regarding my gardens it will be a bonus. But I am not going out until it warms up. It is only 34*f/ 1*c here right now and the high is only going to be 58*F. I don't like the cold!!I will close for now. I wish you all a wonderful day.Debbie
