My Son's death
Today is the 12th anniversary of my son's death. He was killed in a car wreck. He was 37, divorced and had 3 kids. His oldest son is i college in Colorado now, His oldest daughter is a nurse and his youngest daughter is a freshman, this fall. This date will always be remembered as well as how his mother(my ex wife), treated me at his visitation and funeral. Nothing can prepare you for something like this, nothing. His mother died in 2013 of cancer. Life is tough at times. We go through things we thought we never would and endure things, we thought we never could.

I don't know how you do it. I know I would be lost with out any of my kids. They say it gets easier each year but something tells me that losing a child is different. Hang in there friend. Remember the good times and forget the bad. Your ex doesn't deserve the memories
Thank you all. I am doing a funeral tomorrow for a dear friend that I have known for over 40 yrs. Funerals are always hard for me since my son died but, I do them for the grieving families because I have been where they are. Again, thanks to all of you.

I am so sorry for your loss ~ I have no idea what it feels like to lose a child. You are a strong man to live on and help others as you do. I can feel your kindness through your posts. This is only my 2nd or 3rd day on this site. I am in recovery for theft. I take things. Silly things. I took a dog toy that was $3.99 and I was taken away to jail. That was my reality check. What in the world. I had $236 in my purse and credit cards. Was I just lazy. What in the world. If my friends knew, they would be absolutely shocked out of their minds. Just purely based on the fact that I did it. Anyway ~ I am so sorry to get off track onto that. I am still learning how to use this site. ( :
