My son apologized

My son wrote and apologized for conspiring with his siblings against me.  This is huge progress.  I have been able to pour out the hurt I feel about the estrangement.  What he will do with the information I do not know but it seems to be one positive step - a crumb - which is what I asked God for - more than a crumb, actually.
I now stand with half my family of six adult children and therefore my grandchildren estranged from me.
All because I reported my youngest daughter's ex for possibly molesting and definitely physically assaulting my little granddaughter, his own child.  The matter went to court and of course the messenger gets shot in the foot - the messenger in this case was me.
My foot getting shot was the alienation of two sons and two daughters.  One of the sons has apologized.  From four sons and two daughters I am now alienated from one son and my two daughters and four grandchildren that are their children.  I am still in contact with one grandchild as she lives with her father.
If I look back, then God is definitely answering prayer and although it seems slow progress, there is definitely some action going on.
Thank You Lord.

You did what was right. You sent a strong message to your family, they eventually see this. Your son who apologized can make the others see how wrong the others were. It\'s best he does it his way.
Good luck & blessing be with you.

Thank you both so much for your encouraging words Joyholy and Nanaiam. Reading your words mean so much to me as there have been times when I regretted doing what I did just because I miss especially the little granddaughter who was abused SO much that it hurts. It is now a year since I last saw her - apart from January when her other grandmother used her little body as a battering ram to shove into me feet first when I tried to give her a Christmas present. It was horrendous and I reported her for assault wrongly I discovered later, it should have been a case of child abuse so the pubic prosecutor threw the case out of court. You have to wonder where true justice lies sometimes... A horrible last memory for the poor little girl. I am trying now to see her through the child welfare again. As you mentioned Joyholy, these things happen under the noses of authorities and no-one seems to notice or support those who are ringing the bell to wake them up. Thx again. God bless you both!

It must be very difficult for you to see your poor grandchild suffer. Maybe you could speak to the child\'s doctor if you feel the child\'s safety is in question.

Nanaiam - believe it or not there was not a stone left unturned. I approached two doctors, the courts, social workers and the child welfare in this regard. All doors just slammed shut. I even began to wonder if money had exchanged hands as this family is very wealthy and powerful and we live in a small town. Especially when the public prosecutor threw the assault case out, that really made me wonder. I dissolved in tears of sadness and frustration and she did not give a hoot. It has now been a year since I have held that little girl in my arms and told her how much we love her. She starts school next year. I am still believing God for a miracle. Half my family turned against me for doing what they tell you to do - reporting abuse! They were horrified at my action in doing so. What did they expect me to do? Sweep it all under the carpet? Had I done so, I would still have their affection and respect but as it is, they think I am mad, dreamed it all up because the man in question is SO charming and they feel SO sorry for him as he is a great manipulator. But! Time heals all wounds and God will take care of the little one I believe. I am not going to give up on my attempts to see her again. Painful as they may be. God bless you.

I can quite imagine you have done every thing to protact your grand child. Just a thought can you write a \" Incident report \" with the police statation. They will be able to guide you. Don\'t go to the police station when they are busy. Call them at the non emergency no & ask them when they change shits and least busy. Be strong & good luck.
