My Report on Gupta and Life in General
Hello Dear Freinds,
I am finally updating my journal and letting you all know how I am doing as I am sure you've been anxiously checking your mail every day in hopes of getting mail from me!
WEll, the good news is that I am sure the Gupta program works as I have not been really ill with viral type infections that go on for months in a year. I have had a few colds, kind of like normal people have, but they have only lasted several days or up to a week. That has been groudn breaking improvement for me since my M. O. has always been to become really sick with a virus and stay sick for weeks or months at a time. So, I beleive doing the Gupta Program really helped me a great deal. It was a LOT of work and took diligence and commitment, but I did it. And so can you!
The not so good news is that I have been really struggling for at least 1 1/2 years with depression and anxiety that has not been responding to medications. I have tired so many meds it is crazy. My poor brain doesn't know whether it is coming or going. Am going to Stanford to see a Doc there in a few weeks and am hoping he will have some suggestions for me. Being depressed and anxoius, as many of you know, is about as much fun as sliding down a hillside made of razor blades. I don't know where that analogy came from, but there it is... In other words, it sucks and is painful and you feel completely out of control.
So, that is my latest. I have not replaced Maris with a new pup because I simply have not had the brain power to deal with, cope with having a new puppy or new dog. So I am dogless which is also no fun, but a few freind have dogs so I get some dog energy and love from them occasionally.
I also have not been on DS in a while as my computer has been having problems and ai no longer get notifications when someone writes to me. Quite annoying, so I have to sign on the long way each time now. Anyway, I think of all of you and send a great deal of love to you all and hope that your suffering has eased and that perhaps you will try the Gupta program. It helped me, and I am still pinching myself. Can't believe it really!
Sending much love and wishes for spiriualt guideance for you all,
Denise

Hello, dear. I\'m so glad to hear the Gupta program is working for you. It\'s very inspirational to hear some good news. I understand the depression and anxiety thing. It is terrible. All I can say is that it often takes time and diligence to find the right treatment. Doctors always say \"Depression is treatable\" and it is, but it can take a while to figure out what the best course of treatment will be. Hold tight and stay strong. Much love.
Denise, I am glad the Gupta program worked for you. It sounds like it was worth all the time and effort! I\'m hoping the new doctor has a treatment program that will bring you some relief from your depression and anxiety - your analogy was very emotive and really shows just how much suffering is involved with depression. Puppies take a lot of energy, and everyone I have know with depression usually experiences low energy along with it. Maybe once you find a medication that works, you can think of getting a dog to lift your spirits even more. Take care!
A great success is something special-- your hard work on Gupta. The long viral thing sounds lousy-- hopefully it will not be as long. I remember you encouraging my humour writing and it meant so much to me.
xxoo, Tiina
Thanks for your supportive comments on my journal. Even though I\'ve not been writing as much, I am still connected to you wonderful people and send healing thoughts and prayers to you all. And Tina, keep writing! XXOO
Hi there sweet Dee.I knew that you had written a new journal but I have been behind everywhere on DS. I\'m really sick. I\'m so sorry to hear that you are struggling with anxiety and depression. You poor darling.I really feel for you. I know you have tried so hard with different meds. Very frustrating for you. I am struggling with insomnia and yes anxiety also.Mainly anxiety about not sleeping.Yep best thing for insomnia is to stress about the insomnia lol!! Not really laughing though.Too much crying. Oh dear.. surely it\'s high time we got a break from all of this bloody stupid suffering. Wouldn\'t it be wonderful if we just woke up tomorrow and it was all behind us.Looking back at this whole trip like it was just a bad dream and now the sun is shining brightly for us.Happy days, healthy bodies, smiling faces.Ready to take on life again. When will that day be ours.Enough is enough. We want to be free and giggle our heads off.
Sorry if I\'m sounding a bit whacky. Only 4 hrs sleep and drugs can do that to an old girl like me.
I\'m glad that the Gupta program has helped some.I would have thought that the anxiety would be gone too.Keep at it Denise.Maybe there will be a few more shifts still to come . I pray that you will find some successful treatment soon . I\'m here for you whenever you need a shoulder to lean on . I\'m a mess right now but still a warrior inside. Love love love to you .Stay strong. There has to be a way.xoxoxo
HI Di - Yes, I was surprised myself that the emotional stuff didn\'t clear, but it seeems there are layers to these things and I\'ve uncovered one , or another one, of mine. Am working hard with a therapist, a coach from Gupta and acupuncture to say nothing of seeing MD\'s about what will the next step be on the drug front for the anxiety and depression. I am working really hard, trying to re-route my neural pathways into a positive place. Pretty tired of the whole thing, but there\'s no other option but to give up and I can\'t go there.
I am sorry, so sorry you are so unwell now. This has truly been going on too long and I understand what you say about how nice it would be to awaken one day and see this as all a bad dream. Wouldn\'t it be nice?
Know that I think of you and send healong thoughts to you, Di. You are in my prayers. Love and hugs,
Denise
Really glad the Gupta has helped you so much but sorry you are still dealing with depression and anxiety. I hope that the new doctor can help you. Sending you lots of love. You have made such great strides...there are always layers to these things. You\'ll get there.
Thanks Lupin. One foot in front of the other.....
Denise, I am so happy that you are doing so well on the Gupta plan. Sounds like it has really helped you to get past the viral problems, dealing with them for months must have been hard for you. I am just the opposite, I have a really strong immune system since I got sick with CFS/ME. I used to catch everything that came around. After I became ill I noticed I didn't seem to ever get sick with colds or flu. My daughter & two grandkids, Deylan & Emily, live with me & Emily brings everything home from school. Everyone will get sick but me. Who knows why, I have read that CFS deals with the immune system & some people react this way. You keep on with what you are doing & let us know how it makes you feel.
I can relate to the depression & anxiety, I have dealt with depression since I was 11, I am 64 now. The antidepressants I have used have helped me but I think the therapy was the key. I still have down days but I now know that my brain doesn't make serotonin, kinda a family thing. It took me to times of therapy, really digging into myself & learning new coping skills to get past it. I have always said it is like peeling an onion, underneath one layer is another needing to be dealt with. I had to deal with anxiety too but I have learned I no longer need to be debilitated by it. I had a small panic attack a few days ago, haven't had one for years, I was able to ride it through with some coping skills & then just let it go. Keep going to therapy, read all that you can to help you learn new ways of doing things, new ways of feeling & acceptance of what is left. Depression is one of the reasons I have trouble posting on DS or journaling, between depression & CFS I just don't have the energy. Take care of yourself, you are in my prayers, hugs, Denise
