my mind tells me one thing
Why does my mind 'project' pain and suffering the world, but if I keep persistent
to keep objective I see another truth is clearly evident.
I went to work this morning - and my mind was all discombobulated. I felt paranoia
about my boss - but then said to myself "it's not true" "don't believe it" and "focus on the positive".
And this was true...and patience revealed the truth to me. For some reason later at the Starbucks cafe my boss
'out of the blue' payed me a super nice compliment. I was tickled! :)
As the day wore on - my mind became discombobulated again - and I came home - and ate some lunch and just
crashed on the couch for like half an hour. I made casual plans earlier in the week to go to my Dad's house this afternoon and just hang out...
The negative forces in me are making me see this as painful.. Why should I listen to this crap? It would be very nice
to go out and be with them. It's weird how I am really noticing that there is force in me that makes me avoidant or even paranoid or negative - but I shouldn't listen to it.
I started reading a really good book by David Sedaris called "Theft by Finding"- I also read his "Calypso" recently - they are both really good. He can be gross sometimes but other times it's just really nice reading. He is a memoirist and it just feels like, as you read, you are talking to a kind amusing friend. Reading this really calmed me down after work.
I feel like I am going to go out now. I hope you guys are having a good day. Peace.
