My Journey to Georgia
My journey started on Saturday booking a hotel. I had just completed booking one on line in Canton when my computer locked up. While I was waiting on it I called Terri to let her know John and I were coming. In the conversation she told me of a hotel closer to her. I think my computer locking up was a sign so I would be closer to my sisters. John and I arrived in Calhoun around 8:15 pm Sunday Night. I called Terri to let her know we had arrived and she answered the phone by saying "Hello Beautiful." John and I made our way to Terri's beautiful home. First one I saw was Karen. We stayed at the same hotel. Then we made it into Terri's. Got lots of hugs and love. Thanks to Terri for the dinner it was great. Monday morning John and I went out for breakfast, found Wal-Mart and did a little shopping. We found our way to Canton for the service. Barbara was a beautiful person inside and out as you all know. But, on the DVD they showed pictures of her younger and WOW!!! Her entire family is beautiful. Her sweet mom. I told her we all love her and she said she loves us too. I spoke to sister Ginger and express that if was not for Barbara and this group I would have not survived losing Josh. She told me we all saved Barbara as well. Joanie did a beautiful service for our dear Barbara. The songs were perfect. Lights blinking well that was just Barbara. Afterwards the moms gathered for a photo. Said my good byes and headed home. Rained all the way home. John and the GPS does not get along. Got back to work yesterday and one co-worker spoke stupid words to me. People has no clue what kind of bond we have here and what everyone means to me. I hope they never have to find out. I love you all

I\'m glad you and hubby arrived home safe and sound. Thank you for sharing your heartwarming experiences at Barbara\'s service. I wish I could have been there with you all. It\'s so true that people don\'t understand the kind of bond that we all share, but we know that we do and that\'s what matters. Love and hugs to you, Diane
Hi Rhonda, Barbara was and is truly a lifesaver. I don\'t know how I would have made it through the first several months without this site. I am sorry a coworker said those stupid words to you. They really have no clue and they don\'t even know how blessed they are not to have a clue either. Love to you and precious Josh, Linda
What an adventure and lol about the GPS. I heard Teri say that when you called and what a boost to your spirits! It\'s discouraging when we feel that we have to \"explain\" ourselves when others should just be delighted for us that we are surrounded in loving support. Again, it was just the best to get to meet you! :) Love and hugs, Joanie
Hi Rhonda I was so happy to meet you and John and I am glad you guys made it home in those storms.
So he still does not like TomTom.. mine has a very sexy male voice.. not sure he would like that any better lol.. it was great to see you both again and yes no one truly understands and we do not really want them to well maybe for just an hour so they would realize the depth of our pain.. love to you and John and look forward to seeing you at the retreat.. glad you got home okay it was a storm...
It was so good seeing you and John...and Teri has a way of making you feel special, doesn\'t she...hey...maybe it is because you ARE special! Love to you...Karen
Rhonda, you are right...people just don\'t understand the bond and like you said....hope they don\'t ever have to find out! As far as John and the GPS - that is too funny because we had our GPS on and when we pulled in and were trying to figure out if we were at the right place....is when I saw you in the parking lot. Nothing like seeing a familiar face when you feel lost! Glad we got to see you. Love, Kim
Thanks for sharing your story, I read all the accounts of the weekend, so it seems like I was there...Men and directions is as bad as men and gps! glad you got to where you were going...Nora
Thank you for sharing your time with Barbara\'s family and the moms who were able to go and celebrate Barbara\'s life. I was there in spirit, I would of loved to meet her beautiful family..Love & Hugs, Kelly
It was so great having you and John here, though brief and not for reasons we would have liked. You, Rhonda, are such a sweet and loving person and it always makes me feel SO much better to be in your presence! I know how much it meant to the family for so many moms to have made the trek to be here, and it meant the world to me having so much loving support. My home was ablaze in love and the glory that is Barbara, and the friendships formed which can not be put into words for others to understand. So sorry a co worker make a remark out of ignorance which upset you. Like you said, we don\'t want \"them\" to truly understand, yet some common sense sure would come in handy!! I love you darling and I love John too! I\'ll see you at the retreat! Hugs, Teri.
Rhonda so glad you could go and honor our leader. Barbara and you all saved my life no doubt. Love and hugs Cathy
I am so glad you got to go. I thought of everyone that whole day and prayed that all would be safe, as I was also watching the weather channel and seeing the weather heading that way. But I knew it would be okay and that it would not ruin this time of joining together. I believe that we were all together with Barb on that day, even if we could not all be present. Much love, Sandy
