My flaws

I went to my parents' house today for breakfast. It was a nice time. My parents were so relaxed and conversational. It was great to be around them. My mind had different ideas. It went all playful and squirrely. It couldn't deal with sitting still. It made me feel hopelessly flawed.

I'm trying to forgive myself for my flaws and keep aiming for ideals. It's my temperament that I have to carry along.

Sending good vibes and prayers and peace,

Mark

i reckon you'll have to forgive me the flaw of being playful, squirrely and restless, too, except that uncle sam and i have invested a great deal of money and time in my lessons on how to lighten up enough to achieve that flaw.

seems to me that the most developed philosophies of humankind agree that we should be as playful as baby squirrels, but? ? ? i could be misquoting.
for certain there is a great deal of dispute over which traits are flaws and which are virtues.
or am i lost in metaphor, AGAIN? ? ?

You’re so great! You reminded me of this quote:

“I believe in kindness. Also in mischief. Also in singing, especially when singing is not necessarily prescribed.” ― Mary Oliver
