My First Get-Together

I had my first attempt at trying to be social post divorce and well, maybe one of the first get-together's I've ever planned on my own that was not entirely family oriented.
It went okay and it was a pretty good time.  I did have fun, overall.  I did not appreciate one of the guys that was the date of a friend.  He was rude and demanding from the very first.  He wanted different food and drink than what was served (which really went through me since I have no finances and it really stretched the budget to provide the items I had on hand).  Then he did not like the music being played.  At some point, I flat out told him that I would get right on changing the music since the world obviously rotates around him.  Then toward the end of the evening, I was searching for my lighter and asked if anyone had seen it (it is the only one I have).  He completely overreacted like I was accusing them all of being theives and was smarting off.  In the end, I told him, "there is the door, you can use it" and turned to my friend and said, "he needs to go".  It was just enough!  They left and I apologized to the other guests (and later to my friend) for any disruption, but I do not appreciate such disrespect in my home.
Otherwise, it all went well and all had a good time.  I'm feeling better about myself that I managed it and only verged on tears one time throughout the night (when my music was being insulted in such a manner).
Getting there, slow, but sure...
