My Father has Alzheimer's.

He just started on a new med for it and it appears to be getting him thinking a little more clearly but he still doesn't know what is going on or remember so many things. He has no short term memory. It has made him more active and so he gets up and moves all over the place now looking for something to do, I think. but he can't find or think of anything to do so it is irritating because I have to follow him around to find out what he is doing and clean up after him if he gets into anything before I catch him. It makes him more frustrated because he now knows he can't remember things and he doesn't like being treated like a child. This also makes him more angry and antagonistic to us.
The antagonism he shows us and the repetitive asking of the same question along with the waking us up all hours of the night is really starting to get to me.
I hate saying it but I liked it better before when he sat there not really noticing what was going on around him and so not bothering me as much.
