my Dr. asked 'what do I do?' (when bad stuff happens)

I was getting on with my day - and then my mind started picking

away at me.  I mean, I was enjoying the day - but couldn't

seem to keep up with all the influences in my life. I don't know if that makes sense, I don't know yet how

to explain this - but it's like I was looking for a focal point to evaluate myself

against - like something to butt up against...I guess that's when my mind started

picking away at me because I was so 'without structure.' (I don't seem to have the kind of mind

that can turn this around yet.)

I asked myself 'what do I do when this happens?' - which is something that happens

quite frequently. Well, I will tell my Dr. that I tend to 'hold on for dear life' and 'I withdraw a bit.'

I tend to give the television more focus than it deserves but I also have structured my life

to do things at certain times and that reinforces me until I get back on my feet ...mentally.

Ugg I feel so weird and sick - but I am glad I could write this. Maybe I will email it to him.

peace and good night!!

Ya got me remembering the first time a shrink asked me that question. It weirded me out to the max and I obsessed over it for? ? ? Well. . . I reckon I still obsess over it from time to time. Pro'lly will tonight, but not to worry. I've got my therapy toolbox handy. It makes a good topic for meditation, as conundrums so often do.

"Something bad" is a HUGE generality. I react quite differently to stubbing my toe than I do to _ _ _insert horror of choice here_ _ _. Equally, my state of mind at the time ^it^ happens matters allot.
