My Daughter Is Driving Me Bonkers!
Marlow is 7 months old. And she is usually a pretty good baby. She was colic as a newborn so at this point she could be satan's spawn and I would still think she was doing ok! jj
The thing is, for the last week, she has been driving me nutso at bedtime! She goes to sleep at 8:30. Not a problem. She can be wide eyed and bushy tailed, you just pop her sucky in her mouth, lay her down, cover her up to her forehead, and she's out like a light. She sleeps like a log until 1. Every night at 1 she wakes up crying. I can get her back to sleep but then she wakes up at 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30. Once we hit that magical 2:30 mark she goes back to sleep. Easy peasy. And she sleeps until 8 or 9 in the morning.
My ped told me I should try and break her of her night time feeding now. She is getting to that stage where she should be able to eat a snack and a bottle before bed, and be good until breakfast. So I was trying. I switched her night bottle to water in hopes she was just thirsty. But she would drink the 8oz of water and then scream until she got her formula. My fiancee has to be up for work at 6 so I kept caving. But now, even with the formula, she thinks that she should be up at these times.
During the weekend, when I could practice the water and the CIO because my fiancee does not work, she sleeps through! I can't figure out what I do that is so different during the week that I don't or do do during the weekend.
Maybe daddy is the key!
