my daughter
Dear DS Family,
Almost nothing has changed since I journaled last. My soninlaw,is still at his mothers and she is in the home. I am learning to keep my opinions to myself. So very hard since she is in pain. She tells me that she is growing stronger every day. And for me to try not to to worry about her. He still comes over and does things, like take out the garbage, etc. He will do any frigging thing to get in the house to talk. She is confused and so far has not been able to find a counselor. Our pastor is looking into that for her, they both know him and of course that won't work.
Steve stays calm if I stay calm. I try not to speak about him in the house. Steve does not need the stress this has brought.
Keep praying dear friends that she will make the right decision.
Love to each of you,
Wanda
I know that you all have so many problems I almost fee guilty in asking you to pray. We all have burdens and I hate to add another to your lives.

DON\'T feel bad about asking for prayers for your family. You daughter will continue to get stronger every day. As a parent you will always worry about your kids. Be there for her if she needs you and come here and vent to us all you want so you do not upset Steve. Hopefully, your daughter will get strong enough to boot son in law out of the house. I feel sure she can take her own trash out, including him! Sending prayers your way!

Wanda I am so sorry your family is going through this. I missed the last post and had to go back to read it so I just learned about this. I don\'t know what to say except I will keep you all in my prayers. Tough position to be in and I sure don\'t know what I would do if I were in either your or your daughter\'s positions. And so sad for Mallory to be in this too. Take care and know that many of us will be praying for the situation

Wanda, it\'s my privilege to add your family to my prayers. Don\'t feel bad about asking. That\'s what we are here for.
Love,
Karen
Dear Wanda, don\'t ever feel guilty for talking to your friends...that is what we are all here for....and for heaven\'s sake, you\'ve listened to me so much, that I want to always be here for you. I think it is best that your daughter not rush with her decision. Her shock was great, and she needs time to have her emotions settle down. It won\'t hurt to give this all the time she needs. If he truly is sorry and wants to make it work, he will wait and be as patient as possible. My prayers are with you and your family. Life seems so unfair at times. Why we have to have so many challenges and worries I\'ll never know, but, we must keep on trying to persevere. Love to you my friend, Linda
You can count on my prayers, darlin!
No problem, thats all I\'ve got is time so my prayers come more, and adding your daughter and her family is my pleasure. don\'t ever feel guilty for asking for prayers or help or someone to lisen to you. I\'m always here for you. Hugs&Prayers, Love ya,Donna
what an A-hole ( sorry ) . Think of it this way , He is very self centered, lacks morals , is very inpulsive and may be even ill. A healthy person who is well balanced person would not do these things.Get the family together, set some boundries with this guy. His behavior is very aggressive since he won\'t give her any space so draw the line. I am praying for you and your family during this terrible time. Ask people at church how to set boundries and give your daughter some space . Any way , sorry these types of things just set me off :) Love you !!!! Gail
Dearest Wanda,
If your daughter is like her mum, she will be getting stronger each day. The important thing is that she takes all the time she needs to make a decision. She needs her own space to do this.
Vent all you like here so that you can stay calm for dear Steve. Don\'t ever apologise or feel guilty asking for our prayers. You have been there for me ever since I joined and I\'m always here for you, sweetie.
Love you Angel xxx
Dear Wanda - I\'ve come to this whole thing late.....grrrr, I can hear your pain and frustration coming through your journal. I\'m so so sorry your family is going through this right now. Not at all what you need. Angel is right - she needs lots of time to make this decision, and they need time away from each other. Across the yard sounds very difficult. You are doing exactly the right thing in providing a listening ear, and in knowing when not to comment. Hard hard hard.
But Wanda she\'s blessed in having a fierce and nurturing mother like you. You can have all the prayers you ask for and more, and never hesitate to ask.
Calm, Wanda.
Sending you much love and light
Meriel
Wanda,
My prayers are with you and your family. You are right ~~ you have to let your daughter make her own decision on this and support whatever she does decide. It won\'t be easy to do w/o giving advice. Of course, if she asks for advice ~ give her advice ~~ just make sure you have prayed about it first.
She has had a terrible shock. Of course, she was in a fetal position!! I know all about that type of shock....it takes a lot of time, prayer, counseling ~~ separately and as a couple. Reading books about \"affairs\", etc. also will help her to decide how she wants to proceed. I suggest books by Christian authors though. Some of the books written by counselors, psychologists, etc. that are not Christian ~~ well, there were some that I could not agree with at all.
Your dtr is going to be fragile for quite some time. It takes a lot of all the above to get to a place where she will be able to truly \"think\". She will grieve too. This is a tragic situation for her (and her dtr). IF her husband is TRULY sorry, and has TRULY learned his lesson, and IF he will go to counseling, etc. , then there is a possibility they can make their marriage work. If he hasn\'t, and doesn\'t want to work on their marriage, then, there is no reason to stay with him. IMHO
Prayers and Blessings to you and yours, Joely
