My crow is the blackest.
I am not an early riser. It is very hard for me to get the knees and back greased up and functioning. Usually, by the time I accomplish this it is the crack of noon. Today I rousted my lazy bones up and managed to get to the local high school before 8:30. Yup, grand child was involved. Funny how inspired we can get when our fledglings are involved.
My baby girl is 6 foot tall and learning to drive. She had never had a singing lesson in her life until she joined chorus last year. At their little show she sang a duo with another girl.
This year she tried out and made the cast of the school play. She wasn't the lead but had a consistent speaking role through out the play. She did very, very well.
We were surprised when she said she was trying out for the talent show. We knew the competition was fierce, but no one told her the odds and she made it. That was this morning when she stood up in front of her schoolmates and sang a solo. She sang "The Rose" . Her soft little voice was so sweet that the young man sitting behind me said, "She almost made me cry." Well, needless to say, grandma was crying.
Now, the kicker is, my baby has aspergers syndrom. When she was a toddler she was so shy she would close one eye and turn her head in crowds. No one but the teachers at her school are aware of this because she is very high functioning and makes the A honor roll almost every year. In elementary school she was voted the nicest girl, and she is.

I\'m sure that this was well worth arising for. What a blessing she must be. I pray her life is filled with joy as she inspires all who know her. Sharon
It just goes to show you, there isn\'t anything you can\'t do, (as long as your willing to try).
Good for her, Good for you.
