am i remembering right that blue used to be a slim, sleek fella? he looks like he's about 3 times the cat you posted pictures of shortly after he moved in with you.
yeah I love it! but I do think he needs to lose some weight - just for health reasons.
I like him chunky - I think it's super cute.. and he's happy - it's just that when I deny him what
he wants or doesn't want, his meows of protest cut me to my cat parent's core.
It's hard to deny him. Frankly.
Well if he only eats once a day, perhaps you could switch his food to something more weight conscious, there are several healthy ones out there. Some cats are just geared to be big, and tabby's often tend to be. We had an orange tabby when the boys were younger and he was a pretty big boy, even though he ate a normal diet and got lots of exercise. Has your vet raised any concerns about his weight?

That’s cool he’s lying on his back, Baby likes to lie on his back like that too. I was reading about why cats do that & it said lots of good stuff like they trust you, are comfortable, love you ect. So now when I see him lay on his back it makes me feel good to think he’s comfortable.

What a beautiful kitty! I feed my cats 2 times a day. 1/4 cup in am and 1/4 cup in evening. Dry, diet food. We give them about a teaspoon of wet food around dinner time as a treat. Jasmine likes to eat all her food at one time, Jake spreads his out during the day. We have to guard his food while he eats and then put it away so Jasmine won't get in it. LOL

I feed him once a day but for some reason he gains weight
