my birthday

hi all today is my birthday, i am 42. its weird - my first birthday without jessy here, shrieking and shouting with joy, and wanting to blow candles out 20 times, and singing happy birthday again and again.! but i know she's with us today. its a beautiful day here in SA today, sunny summer, with a cool breeze.  i dont know if any of you are familiar with the jewish faith. we are jewish and tomorrow is sukkot, 8 days of the feast of Tabernacles. it is to remember when the jews were in the worlderness for 40 years, and they made temporary little "huts" in which they slept. and to commemorate how G-d protected them in that time.... .... every year we build such a "hut"in our garden. the roof must be made of a few strips of wood, covered in palm leaves, and we must be able to see the stars at night. so today is a happy day, as the family is building the "succah".  the kids are making decorations and everyone is at peace. my pappa is feeling much better, and his arm is doing okay. my garden is coming along beautifully, the flowers are blossoming and i can feel jessy everywhere. lots of love to you all my dear friendslove jan x x x
