my baby has ups and downs
I am getting more flexible and easy going with my baby - Blue.
I woke up and got coffee today - then came home and Blue started
wailing. I didn't know what he wanted so I followed him.... "show me" I said.
And we walked together into the bedroom and he jumped up onto the bed.
He really likes me to lay down with him on the bed - I think it's like a level playing
field for him.. kind of like a cat pride thing (aka a Lion's pride)....
I turned on the tv as we layed there and I drank my coffee and he was quiet
and content...
after a while he jumped off and I came into the living room to write a journal..
he started crying again - and initially I was wondering 'what does he want now?!'
but then for some gift a reason I just thought to myself "My baby has ups and downs"
and that's definitely ok! I have one foot in my actions and one ear and one foot to
the needs of my baby. I feel relaxed now and kind of more like a parent.
I am so grateful for Blue. We all have ups and downs that flow through
our day and days! xx

the four feral kittens i am hoping will grow into the farm rat patrol have taken to walking with me on my daily chicken keeping duties. that was their idea. i'm just rolling with the flow, but it is profoundly weird-even-for-me to walk with cats.

I have a harness for Blue and a small leash..both you and my Stepmom
want me to take him out.. I think we're coming to that point.
He's awfully sheepish around others but perhaps it's time to get
him used to it all!
it may be like spinach - he may need to have it for the good health it brings -
and once he gets used to it - he'll love it!
Blue sounds very expressive. There may be nothing ailing him in his vocalizations but he just likes to express himself! It’s fun how kitties get their habits and spots. And then they switch them up after a few months. Bella was so happy it’s saturday and I’m home lazing this morning that she wrapped 4 fishing wand toys around herself to bring to me to play with her. So I took all 4 from her back carrying them to me and dangled all 4 and she was so overwhelmed she darted into the next room, probably to go look for her alley boyfriend tomcat outside that keeps coming around.
he's definitely like a 2 year old I think. He needs to be entertained...he enjoys a good cuddle and downtime
but then occasionally self entertains and other times needs Papa to step in.
Blue is a talker!!... Rascal sure knows how to get what he wants as well..... He sits right in front of my and stares until he gets it.... Our babies are wonderful wee creatures huh?.... Big squishy hug and a treat for Bluey .... xo

is he on friendly terms with his harness and leash yet? that is quite allot, all by itself. maybe some walks around the apartment before you shock his senses with the great outdoors?
That’s a great suggestion. I think I will try again. He hasn’t liked it so far but perhaps in time and with practice.
