my Mom
Well i found out this weekend that my Mom had been in the hospital for the past few days. She lives in VA so i could not visit, but her bloodpressure dropped real low, and the initial tests indicated that she may have had a heart attack, but it turns out there is nothing wrong with her heart at all. The docs were stumped. She made it back home today which is great. I just wish i had known she was in there. She said that she was sort of out of it and did not think to call anyone.Well i am soo tired right now that i keep falling assleap at the keyboard. I'll try again tomorrow.

i\'m sorry about your mom. it\'s very hard to see the ones we love suffer, especially when they are a real comfort and encouragement in our own lives. (not my case, but yours). i\'m glad that it wasn\'t her heart, and that she is back home, but that does leave the problem of \"what was the matter, then?\"
one good (?) to say for the docs is that they didn\'t insist on fudging out some answer in lieu of not knowing. it\'s a good professional sign to admit being \"stumped\" and because no current health risks exist, to discharge the patient instead of keeping them uselessly at the hospital.
does your mom live alone, and if so, could her \"sort of being out of it\" in the future, pose a health/safety risk to her? just curious, and not trying to pry or assume anything.
you\'re a good husband (YES YOU ARE). you\'re a good father. you\'re a good son. you\'re a good friend. SO MANY REASONS to love yourself, or at the very least to give yourself a pat on the back.
thank you for taking the time to journal your thoughts. it\'s nice to keep track of how you\'re doing. keep it up - your honesty will repay you maybe more than any therapist you could see, when you look back on your entries, months from now. you\'ve already seen that with your past entries.

My mom and step dad live together. He has not been feeling well for a while, all though i dont know why he did not call me. They live very close to one of his sons and one of his daughters, so as far as possible future daily care, they are in a good place.
