Musings

Dear DS diary,
The thoughts really don't have a connected theme tonight:
* Anybody else out there think that Windows 10 is not what it's cracked up to be?  It basically crashed the system we have to use to process stuff at the pharmacy because the program doesn't support Windows 10.  We were out several terminals for several days because the pharmacy's IT guy was in Detroit on business.  It has settled down since, but...not everything out of the lab is good and beautiful.
* I'm not looking forward to the upcoming DS site upgrade.  I'm expecting it to be buggy, and anything that doesn't institute something like the Meebo that used to be on here, to me, will be worthless.
* The first 5K was so nice, I'm trying for twice.  It's been a bit rocky so far, but I started sooner than last year.  Hoping it evens out, but it will help more if major retriggers stay away...for about 20 years.
* Speaking of those, a counseling center that we'd been trying to be in touch with for a year is closing...and they never matched me up with a counselor.  They claim they couldn't find one appropriate for my issues.  I'm thinking it's double talk for "you're beyond help with this stuff".
* Wasn't surprised to hear the usual array of fatal wrecks on the roads this long weekend around here.  Massachusetts people don't know how to drive.  Or pay attention to the road, for that matter.
* Is it bad that I'm wishing I could find stuff that aired 30 years ago again?  I used to be a fan of an ESPN series called "Starshot" which was a pro-am team skeet shooting competition that was always taped at night.  The skeets looked like shooting stars, hence the name.  All I can find from it now is the first six minutes of the 1987 UK version, which taped only seven episodes and then was yanked after a major massacre took place just a couple of weeks after taping of those seven episodes was finished...and not far from where Starshot UK was taped on top of that.

I like your title musings.
I hate windows 10.....wish I never downloaded it.
Need to see about getting a new laptop...had probably better do it soon if I don\'t want to have it on there.
I am sorry about the counseling situation.
I don\'t think that you are beyond help.
But I do think you need someone who understands Asperger
I was wishing to see the show Real People that was on in the late 70\'s and
Amazing Animals.
